The Holy Week and its processions

Easter is around the corner and in Tenerife there are endless commemorative acts that represent history with a lot of art. On this island, in particular, unique traditions are preserved and in the neighboring village of Adeje for a few hours, about 300 neighbors become good actors recreating the Passion and the death of Christ. The week goes from the 10th to the 16th of April 2017, being the 16th of April the Holy Sunday.

It’s another way to witness something unique during your vacation on the island of eternal spring. A rich experience and full of emotions that you will never forget. Also in several towns in the north of the island of Tenerife everyone is out in the street to demonstrate its devotion, so you only have to choose which representation or party to join and we assure you that you will want to return with friends so they also have the same experience.

Also among the most famous is the Seven Word procession that takes place in La Laguna, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
